At the core of instructional design (ID) lies project management (PMP) and a project charter document can be used to help analyze, design, and carryout an instructional design project. In PMP for ID process, fresh ideas are flashed out and transformed into a project blueprint know as a project charter.
While in graduate school and serving on the Graduate Medical Education Committee for Process Improvement at Rush University Medical Center, I worked with the committee members and other stakeholders to conduct front-end analysis to determine how to improve task management for training coordinators to meet task deadlines. In the project charter shown below, I outlined a pathway for process improvement. This project charter was also used as a final submission for my PMP for ID course in graduate school.
